This is an alternate route to Machu Picchu which offers quieter campsites and fewer travelers than the Inca Trail Trek. You will pass through tropical valleys, past crystal blue lakes, and over imposing mountain passes. The views are stunning as you pass glacier-covered mountains such as Salkantay (6,275m\/20,576ft), and the nighttime sky is filled with thousands of stars. The trek will end with a visit to the ancient Inca city of Machu Picchu.
