Valley 2 Days DESCRIPTION: This tour combines our Ollantaytambo and Machu Picchu Tours. The Sacred Valley has a milder climate than Cusco, and, on your first day, you will see a succession of picturesque villages, agricultural terraces, and many archaeological sites. You will visit the impressive Pisac Ruins, the colorful Pisac market which is a great place to pick up souvenirs, and the Ollantaytambo archeological site. From there you will take the train to Aguas Calientes \u2013 the launching point for any Machu Picchu tour. After spending a night in Aguas Calientes, you will wake early to catch one of the first buses to Machu Picchu so you can enjoy time at the site while it is still quiet and mystical. After a tour of this famous city, you can climb Huayna Picchu (this requires a separate ticket which must be purchased well in advance), visit the Inca Bridge, hike to the famous Sun Gate, or simply wander the ruins on your own.\u00a0The citadel of Machu Picchu, at 2,430 meters above sea level, stands in the midst of towering mountains and the lush vegetation of a cloud forest. The majestic beauty of the natural landscape surrounding this sanctuary as well as the archaeological value of the ruins itself make it a UNESCO World Heritage site recognized the world over.
